About Us

Cursley Motorsport is a family-run race team based in Cambridgeshire with over 20 years of experience in UK motorsport. Founded in 2015 by team owner Alex Cursley, the team has earned a reputation for building fast, reliable race cars and helping drivers get the very best from themselves.

Alex's passion for racing began at just 15 years old, building and racing Minis before progressing to circuit racing in his twenties. Since then, he has enjoyed success with two Hyundai Coupe Cup Championship titles (2017 and 2021), a Birkett 6 Hour Race victory, and numerous race wins and podium finishes. Alongside racing, Alex has spent over 30 years in the motor trade, specialising in MGs and classic cars, with extensive experience in restoration, preparation and performance tuning.

For the 2026 season, we are proudly competing in both the Junior Saloon Car Championship (JSCC) and the OT Publishing Coupe Cup, continuing our commitment to developing drivers and competing at the front of the grid.
